Fitness Program

All fitness programs are being taught via Zoom due to Covid-19. 

Senior Fitness - Tuesdays & Thursdays 11-11:55AM​

At any age, keeping fit is an ongoing challenge. This class features aerobic exercise, balance training, working out in chairs, and weight bearing exercises to increase bone density. Our instructor takes your individual goals into account, tailoring your workout within a classroom setting. 

While the primary goal is to keep your physical structure healthy in a safe and enjoyable way, research indicates that exercise is also effective for maintenance of mental capacity and for mood elevation.

Melanie puts great emphasis on proper technique, which means you get the most from your workouts safely. You’re encouraged to perform the exercises on your own during the week so you'll benefit even more at your next class.

MELANIE DEAN, M. Sc., CSCS, holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology in addition to her Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance & Wellness. Among her certifications are: NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and NSPA Post Rehab Specialist.
