Know how to save a life.
Heart attacks are among the most common causes of death. With American Heart Association (AHA) CPR Training, you
can acquire the necessary skills to recognize and respond to a life-threatening emergency in adults, children and infants.
With CPR Training you can be a critical life-saving link for the survival of a cardiac arrest victim. Statistics show that 88% of cardiac arrests occur in the home. A person has 10 minutes or less before death occurs without the administration of CPR. This can buy enough time
for first responders, because it helps to keep a person’s blood oxygenated, thereby reducing the chances of brain damage or death.
Choose the course that’s appropriate for you:
Friends & Family (F&F)
Know what to do in an emergency for your family, friends or loved ones. Participants will learn to
perform CPR and emergency choking procedures on adults, children and infants.
Course includes manual and course participation card.
Basic Life Support Provider Certification (BLS)
The BLS instructor-led course includes the new 2016 guidelines and teaches both single and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high quality CPR and team dynamics. This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Students must pass a skills and written exam.
2016 manuals must be purchased prior to class.
MELANIE DEAN, M.Sc., CSCS, our Exercise Physiologist and Fitness Instructor, is AHA-certified to teach both of these potentially life-saving courses.
